Catherine N. Mulligan is recognized by
Continental Who’s Who among College Professors. Catherine is a Professor, Research Chair in Geoenvironmental Sustainability, as well as Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, and member of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.
Catherine has taught courses in site remediation, environmental engineering, fate and transport of contaminants and geoenvironmental engineering, and conducts research in remediation of contaminated soils, sediments, and water. She is responsible for the administration of research grant submissions, international agreements, graduate funding, as well as awards and graduate curriculum within the faculty of engineering and computer studies.
In addition to her role as professor and researcher, Catherine is an esteemed author who has completed a textbook entitled, Environmental Biotreatment (Government Institutes, 2002) as a sole author on biological treatment technologies for air, water, waste, and soil. She has also contributed to works with other authors and has more than 70 refereed papers in various journals.
As a result of her outstanding contributions to the field of environmental engineering, Catherine is the two-time recipient of the PetroCanada Young Innovator Award and was the University Research Fellow in 2006.
