ENDYMION M. CHEN - PRESIDENT

Endymion M. Chen is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Engineering Professionals. Endymion (Endy) is the President of E.M. Chen & Associates, a family-owned architectural and engineering firm located in Guam.

Established in 1973, E.M Chen & Associates has continuously provided quality architectural planning, engineering, and program and construction management services throughout the Micronesia Islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Endy is a registered professional and structural engineer in Guam, CNMI, Hawaii, California and Taiwan. He has over three decades of experience in managing, planning and designing multitudes of projects such as airports, harbors, highways/roadways, bridges, subdivisions, hotels, and commercial buildings on Guam and the Pacific Regions. Some of Endy’s greatest career accomplishments include the engineering design and construction management of Hilton Hotel and International Trade Center in Guam, the design of the Masan (third) and Ulsan (fourth) largest harbors in Korea and the World’s second largest marine elevator (Syncrolift) in Taiwan.

Since childhood Endy knew that he wanted to enter the engineering profession. He states, “It was the family business, my dad was an architect and when I was a child, I would go to the construction sites.” This drive to become a professional engineer still echoes in his work ethic three decades later. Endy is a seven-day worker and often comes to the office at 5 a.m. to get work done before his staff arrives. He takes pride in focusing on the design aspect of engineering, which has contributed to his professional success as President of one of the region’s most prominent engineering firms.

In 1995, he was awarded the Honorary Degree in Business & Engineering at Armstrong University, Berkeley, California; and in Business & Economics at Pacific International University, Albany, New York. In addition, Endy attended Chung Yung Christian University in Taiwan.
