MALIKA HAKIM HAQUE, MD - PEDIATRICIAN

Dublin, OH — Malika Hakim Haque MD is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pediatrician for her outstanding contributions in the medical field and her unwavering dedication to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the Ohio State University (OSU), the Noor Community Free clinic/Muslim Clinic of Ohio (MCO) of the Wexner Medical Center, the Nisonger Center at OSU, and to the Noor Islamic Cultural Center, its community, and her family. Her passion has been to serve the underserved community all her life.

Having led a distinguished medical career for 50 years, Dr. Malika Hakim Haque has been consistently named one of American’s Top Pediatricians by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. Since 2010, she has served as a medical director of the NOOR Community Clinic/MCO with the Thomas E. Rardin Family Practice Center at Ohio State University, having founded the clinic. She began teaching at the university since 1970 when she came as a Fellow at the Nisonger Center (OSU) and Nationwide Children’s Hospital and has worked in a variety of roles prior to her current position as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and International Health. Additionally, she is providing her services as a member of the Section of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital through the Noor Community Free Clinic/MCO where she serves a multicultural population and at the same time imparting her valuable medical expertise and knowledge to medical students. Furthermore, Dr. Haque is a Charter Founder of the Ronald Reagan Representative Center and was honored with a Medal of Merit from President Ronald Reagan in March31,1982 for being an active member of the President Ronald Reagan's Task Force.

In light of her academic achievements, Dr. Haque received a Government of India scholarship for standing first in High School University Exams and a gold medal for standing first at the University of Madras in her Pre-university exams before starting medical school. Her medical career began after earning a Medical Degree from Madras Medical College. She has had a brilliant Medical Career with Gold Medals awarded in almost every subject in Pediatrics, Radiology, Surgery, and OBGYN at College and University level. She interned at the Miriam Hospital at Brown University and completed a residency in pediatrics at the New Jersey College of Medicine Children’s and Babies Hospital. With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Haque served as a fellow in developing disabilities at the Nisonger Center, the Ohio State University.

Among many of her achievements, Dr. Haque has been researching antiviral agents in the management of warts caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), other viral tumors such as Molluscum Contagiosum, and skin blemishes. She currently holds three patents on the antiviral agents of HPV and other viral tumors and has completed phase two of FDA-approved clinical trials in search of antiviral agents. She is actively pursuing further research and product development of her unique patented products.

Remaining at the forefront of her field, Dr. Haque maintains active memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Ambulatory Pediatrics Association, the Central Ohio Pediatric Society, the Islamic Medical Association of North America, the Noor Islamic Cultural Center, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and Pakistani origin.

Dr. Haque was an expert advisory consultant for the Joint Commission of Hospitals for culturally diverse patient-centered care in 2008. This resulted in New Standards of care for the culturally diverse patient population in hospitals and clinics across the nation in 2012.

In her spare time, Dr. Haque enjoys spending time with her family and friends and entertaining and reaching out to people in distress who are going through hard times, especially after the Covid Pandemic, not just in her community and USA but across the World. She also devotes her time as an active member of her community and is involved in their Educational and Health care activities, holding large Health Fairs. She enjoys reading and is excited about pursuing her research on her patents that would ultimately lead to a product that will cure warts, other viral tumors, and skin blemishes.

Furthermore, Dr. Haque is a charter founder of the Ronald Reagan Representative Center and was honored with a Medal of Merit from President Ronald Reagan in March 31, 1982 for being part of President Ronald Reagan Task Force.

Dr Haque dedicates this honorable recognition to her dear mother Rahimunissa Begum and to her dear Dad Major Syed Abdul Hakim.
