
San Francisco, CA - Allan P. Gold is being recognized by
Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of
Psychology as a District Psychologist at Reed Union School District.
Dr. Allan P. Gold has more than 44 years’ experience in the
field. He has been a district psychologist with Reed Union School District
since 1976. During this time from 1980 to 1987 he was an adjunct professor at
the University of California Berkeley in the School of Education. During his
first graduate program in statistics he joined the United States Army Reserves,
serving in a medical unit. That was where he was introduced to psychology. He
found that he had a knack for it and decided to make it his career once he was
honorably discharged.
To better prepare for his career after the Army Reserves, Dr. Gold returned to
the University at California Berkeley where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology. Later he entered the School Psychology program and received his PhD
in Educational Psychology.
In acknowledgement of his contributions to the field, he has received numerous
awards and accolades
including being the recipient of the Rotary Club Award for Community service
from the town where he works. Additionally, the California Association of
School Psychologists twice named him an Outstanding School Psychologist, and he
was given the First Educator Award for Outstanding Educators by Reed Union
School District.
