Pinehurst, NC ‒ Andrew Delaney Hendry is being recognized by
Continental Who’s Who as a Trusted Attorney for his remarkable work in the
field of Law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, for over fifty years.
As a successful high-ranking corporate counsel, Andrew
Delaney Hendry has worked in corporate law for more than five decades.
Providing critical legal aid for some of the country’s largest companies for
multiple decades, Mr. Hendry is now retired from the profession.
Mr. Hendry began his journey at Georgetown University, graduating with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1969. He then attended New York
University, earning his Juris Doctor in 1972. He worked for law firm Battle and
Fowler from 1972-1979, when he became the Senior Corporate and Financial
Attorney for Reynolds Metals Company. He joined Burroughs Corporation in 1982
as the Senior Staff Counsel, then Associate General, and as Deputy General from
1986-1987. Utilizing his specialty in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate law,
he accepted a position as the Vice President of Legal Affairs in Unisys
Corporation in 1987. Mr. Hendry next worked as the Vice Chair Chief Legal
Officer and Secretary of Colgate-Palmolive Co. A career highlight, Mr. Hendry
navigated a significant merger, redefined the company’s legal structure, and
altered the corporate culture during a vast shift.
Mr. Hendry has been featured in a variety of publications, including Practical
Lawyers, the American Law Institute Reporter, American Lawyer, and the New York
Times business section. He was recognized for his exceptional work, he has been
awarded the Segal-Tweed Founders Beacon of Justice Award, the Outstanding
Contribution to Justice Award from the NLADA, the ACCA Pro Bono Service Award,
and many more.
To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Hendry is a Fellow of the
American Bar Foundation, and a member of the American Bar Association, the
central European and the American Law Institute, and the New York State Bar
Association, where he is active with several committees.
He is the author of the prologue to “Trade Cash” (2020), and is currently
working on a memoir entitled “The American Dream.”
