Arlene maintains affiliation with the National English Honor Society, Billmore Who’s Who, National Education Association, Sigma Tau Delta and Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. She has gained recognition by the National Dean’s List, The Unites States Achievement Academy, Norfolk State University Parsons Honor Society as well as the Ruth Diggs Senior Scholarship Award. 

In addition to her various accolades, Arlene is the recipient of eight national and international honor society honors. She has also appeared in four academic biography publications. Looking into the future, her goals are to inspire students, mentor young intellects and to continue helping students articulate and follow their values. 

Throughout the course of her education and training, Arlene earned her Master’s degree in Urban Studies Education from Nova Southeastern University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Special Education from Norfolk State University, as well as an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Manhattan Community College.
