ARTYOM KHACHIKYAN, PSY.D - CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Burbank, CA - Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Artyom Khachikyan, PsyD is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member for his contributions to Expanding Culturally Informed Mental Health Care Through Astute Care Pathways.

Artyom Khachikyan, PsyD, is a dedicated psychologist whose work centers on providing culturally responsive mental health care for immigrant communities navigating complex emotional and psychological challenges. As the founder of Astute Care Pathways, Dr. Khachikyan delivers specialized clinical services to Armenian and Russian immigrants experiencing post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and difficulties associated with adjusting to life in a new state within the United States.

Drawing on his shared cultural background and deep understanding of the immigrant experience, Dr. Khachikyan creates a therapeutic environment rooted in trust, empathy, and cultural awareness. His ability to connect with patients on both a personal and clinical level allows him to provide care that is not only effective, but also deeply respectful of cultural identity, language, and lived experience. This approach has proven especially impactful for individuals who may otherwise face barriers to accessing or trusting mental health services.

Dr. Khachikyan earned his Bachelor of Science in theology and Master of Science in clinical psychology from Yerevan State University in Armenia. He later completed his Doctor of Psychology degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where he continues to advance his education by pursuing a Master of Science in psychopharmacology, with completion anticipated in early 2028. His continued academic pursuit reflects a commitment to comprehensive care that integrates psychotherapy with a strong understanding of medication management.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Khachikyan is an active member of the American Psychological Association and participates in Division 55, the Psychopharmacology Division. His professional involvement underscores his dedication to staying informed on emerging research, ethical standards, and best practices within the field of psychology.

Beyond his private practice, Dr. Khachikyan is deeply committed to community service. He provides pro bono mental health treatment to disadvantaged individuals, ensuring that access to quality psychological care is not limited by financial constraints. His work reflects a broader mission to reduce stigma surrounding mental health while expanding access to culturally informed services.

Dr. Khachikyan attributes much of his professional growth to the guidance and mentorship he received during his internship training. He remains grateful to the supervisors who supported his development and reinforced the importance of compassionate, ethical, and patient centered care.

Through Astute Care Pathways, Dr. Khachikyan continues to build a practice grounded in cultural understanding, clinical excellence, and service to the community. His work stands as a meaningful contribution to mental health care for immigrant populations seeking healing, stability, and a renewed sense of belonging.
