BECKIE S. BUTCHER - BIOGRAPHY AUTHOR AND COOKBOOK AUTHOR

Elgin, IL- Beckie S. Butcher is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Literature as an Author and Freelance Writer.

With decades of experience, Ms. Butcher is a self-employed biography author, cookbook author, and a freelance writer.  Her specialty, among other things, is writing and crafting her own recipes. Compiling her knowledge of the culinary arts, Ms. Butcher published a cookbook, Feeding The Flock, in 2005. As a testament to her finesse in the kitchen, Ms. Butcher was recognized by her hometown newspaper, The Elgin Courier News, for having six of her recipes published in various Goose Barry Patch cookbooks.

Before her writing career blossomed, Ms. Butcher worked in clinical laboratories from 1986 to 2007. It was during this time that she was first stricken with the autoimmune/neuroimmune disease chronic fatigue syndrome. Drawing inspiration from her personal experience, Ms. Butcher wrote the book My Battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Spotlighted for her courageous work, My Battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was listed in the New York Times Sunday Book Review on Sunday, June 1st, 2014. A screenplay was also written based on the book.

Throughout the course of her education and training, Ms. Butcher earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology at Elgin Community College in 1997.

In addition to her professional accolades, Ms. Butcher is an American Society of Clinical Pathologists Board Certified Medical Laboratory Technician. She has had the pleasure of interviewing with Jim Masters and Doug Llewelyn about her book on CFS. Featured in the September 2016 edition, Ms. Butcher received the National Excellence Award by Women of Distinction Magazine. She has also been honored by Worldwide Who's Who VIP 2013, Top Female Executive, Tier of Excellence Oxford Who's Who 2016,and as well as Top Ranked U.S. Executive in her Territory by the National Council of Executives in 2014.

Devoted to her faith, Ms. Butcher is a member of the Hosanna! Lutheran Church. Also, Ms. Butcher donates monthly to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and is passionate about spreading the word about CFS as well as her treatment. Please visit www.solvecfs.org for more information.

In her free time when she feels up to it, Ms. Butcher writes about what she is passionate about, CFS and cooking. When she’s not working on her writing, Ms. Butcher is an animal lover and enjoys knitting.
