She is presently leading an impressive career having garnered a commendable reputation for her professional excellence in her dental endeavors. In her current capacity, she demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and integrity at the Family Dental Center. As an Associate Dentist, Dr. Burton takes on leadership roles such as aiding in morning huddles and facilitating other leadership roles when needed. She offers a vast repertoire of expertise and interests in Preventive Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and IV sedation. Her passion for helping people is demonstrated in her efforts of treating diverse groups of patients in a relaxing, comfortable, and safe manner. Dr. Burton takes pride in her work and providing the best oral care possible.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Dr. Burton’s career began after she completed her undergraduate degree at Western Kentucky University with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry, followed by earning her DMD degree from the University of Kentucky in 2018. Following dental school, Dr. Burton moved to Dayton, Ohio to pursue her General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital. As a testament to her academic excellence, Dr. Burton was awarded the Restorative Dental Award from the University of Kentucky and as Resident of the Year. She is also certified in IV sedation. As a continuous learner, Dr. Burton has continued her certifications in Advanced Botox and fillers as well as Functional Occlusion with Dawson Academy.
Remaining abreast of the latest advancements in her field, Dr. Burton maintains active memberships and affiliations with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the American Dental Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Burton enjoys long-distance running, time with family and friends, and any opportunities afforded to her to serve her community.
In looking to the future, Dr. Burton strives for continuous learning in regards to implantology and oral surgery. She plans to take courses at Misch Implant Institute and Dawson Academy. Not only is she committed to adding more skills to her medical repertoire, but she is also eager to learn from mentors and experiences to help her patients and hopefully be able to mentor someone else someday on their journey. Dr. Burton is grateful to Dr. Patrick Peters, Dr. Betzing, and Dr. Shufflebarger for their advice and guidance that could have perhaps taken years of clinical experience to gain, but instead was achieved through a simple conversation.
