
Winchester, TN — David T. Piskorowski, DO, is being

A fellowship-trained, board-certified physician, Dr.
Piskorowski is a committed pulmonologist with eight years of experience in
medicine. He joined Southern Tennessee Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep
Medicine in the fall of 2020. The doctor specializes in the diagnosis and
management of asthma and chronic lung disease, lung cancer screening and
diagnosis, bronchoscopic evaluation of lung pathology, and aiding in the
diagnosis of chronic cough.
Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases
involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine
physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions
and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory
system. including the nose, pharynx, and throat.

Academically, Dr. Piskorowski received a Bachelor of Science
degree in mathematics from Michigan State University. He attended medical
school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where
he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He then went on to
complete his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary
disease and critical care medicine with the Beaumont Health System in Detroit.
He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and
internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Medicine
Subspecialties, which is an organization that provides board certification to
qualified doctors who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of
disease in adults.
Among his professional memberships and affiliations, the
doctor is a proud member of the American Medical Association, the American
College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the Society of
Critical Care Medicine.
Outside work, Dr. Piskorowski participates in various
speaking engagements and radio programs to educate the community.
