Dr. Elisa Peavey, DO, is advancing a holistic and integrative approach to medicine that places emotional health at the center of healing for individuals and families in her community. As the owner of Bōdhi, Dr. Peavey empowers children and families to address anxiety and related behavioral challenges through thoughtfully designed classes, events, and retreats that promote emotional resilience and long-term wellbeing.
Through Bōdhi, Dr. Peavey works closely with families to identify and transform the emotional roots contributing to anxiety, lack of confidence, non-serving erratic behaviors, and other belief systems perpetuating drama and chaos. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that sustainable health begins with emotional awareness and regulation. By creating supportive environments where participants can learn practical tools, face their fears, improve neuro-emotional health and learn coping strategies; she helps families build healthier foundations for growth and connection.
In addition to her work at Bōdhi, Dr. Peavey maintains an active medical practice with a focus on obstetrics and women’s health. Her integrative perspective allows her to care for her obstetrical patients, combining medical expertise with a compassionate understanding of emotional and mental wellness.
Dr. Peavey earned a Bachelor of Science in health sciences from Boise State University and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency with a focus on obstetrics at Oklahoma State University affiliated hospitals in Tulsa. She is a board-certified family physician.
She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the International College of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Peavey also serves on the Board of Directors for Intra Life Healing Arts, a nonprofit organization that provides integrative therapies such as Reiki, cranial sacral, and Jin Shin Jyutsu to further augment emotional health and wellbeing. Intra Life also provides support for women and children dealing with domestic violence, as well as therapies for autistic children, those with learning disabilities and for the families of these children. In addition, she’s a speaker of emotional and bioenergetic healing and the science supporting its importance. She is also the published author of her first book, Remembering Me, found on Amazon.
Dr. Peavey credits the many mentors who supported her throughout her medical training and extends special gratitude to her parents, Robert Mairs DO and Eileen Mairs and to her husband Brian Peavey, for their continued encouragement and support.
Looking ahead, Dr. Peavey has plans to further expand Bōdhi by increasing the number of retreats offered, allowing more families to benefit from immersive experiences centered on emotional health, connection, and healing.
