Dr. Franco serves as the Psychologist and Owner at the office of Fabiana Franco, Ph.D., LLC. She brings over ten years of field experience, as well as specializations in trauma and abuse issues, PTSD, multicultural issues and forensics, to her role.
"I provide psychotherapy, evaluations and consultation services for adults, children, adolescents, and families with a wide range of diagnoses," Dr. Franco said. "I provide these services to individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and I speak English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. I have extensive experience in individual, couples and family psychotherapy as well as in diagnostic evaluations of adults and children." Additionally, Dr. Franco utilizes a special interest in low-income patients and Hispanic immigrants in her work.
Dr. Franco earned her Associate's degree in French as well as her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Utah, graduating Magna cum Laude. She then went on to complete her Master's degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University. Currently, she supervises advanced doctoral students' clinical work at the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.
To further her professional development, Dr. Franco is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Manhattan Psychological Association, the Maryland Psychological Association, the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology, the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the National Association of French Speaking Health Professionals, the Social Integration and Community Development Association, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Association and Conciliation Courts (Maryland Chapter); the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies the National Latino Psychological Association; and the International Association of Trauma Professionals, to name a few.
In addition to her work in practice, Dr. Franco has authored several medical journals, and regularly serves as a panelist and presenter at national and international conferences.
