FR. MIKE ORTIZ - CATHOLIC PRIEST OF THE DIOCESE OF SAN DIEGO
Fr. Mike Ortiz is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Religious Professionals. Mike is retired from his role as Catholic Priest of the Diocese of San Diego.
Fr. Ortiz is retired ed from the Diocese as well as from the military. Although he is retired, he is still very active as a school chaplain and supply priest at various parishes within the diocese. Fr. Ortiz is still a member of the San Diego Diocese and is a member of the local Special Forces Association as well as a member of the Local 82nd Airborne Association. In addition, Fr. Ortiz is a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
As a former member of the United States Military, Fr. Ortiz has received honors such as Special Forces Qualification; Airborne Jumpmaster Wings; SCUBA and HALO Qualification Tabs; Ribbons: Vietnam Combat; Air Medal; Army Commendation; Army Achievement; Bronze Star; Meritorious Service; Legion of Merit.
Fr. Ortiz attended Sacred Heart School of Theology; and completed Post Graduate Studies at Long Island University for CPE. He also attended Army Command and General Staff College; Army War College; and Pontifical North American College.
In the future, Fr. Ortiz hopes to continue to make a difference in his youth ministry and to continue ministering in church.
