
Staten Island, NY – Frederick L. Sabido, MD, FACS is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Lifetime Achiever for his work as a Robotic General Surgeon and Surgical Oncologist with his private practice.
Dr. Frederick L. Sabido is a renowned surgeon operating out
of his private practice servicing the Metropolitan New York area. As an expert
in robotic surgery, his practice primarily focuses on applicable procedures
such as Single-Site Cholecystectomy, Hernia Repairs, Nissen Fundoplication,
Colectomies and Splenectomies, all performed with Robotic technology. Additional areas of practice include
treatment of Gallbladder Disease, Adrenal Tumors, Melanoma and other skin
cancers, and maladies relating to the esophagus.
In his attendance at the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Sabido earned his
Doctorate’s degree, a graduating member of the class of 1989. He completed a
four year residency at Rutgers-NJMS in General surgery from 1989 to 1993,
followed by a second two-year residency with Staten Island University Hospital
in General Surgery. Dr. Sabido has received his certification and
recertification from the American Board of Surgery and his Surgical Review
Certification as a Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Sabido is currently a member of the Clinical Robotic Surgery Association,
the American Hernia Society Quality Collaborative, the Society of
Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS), and the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
He is also a Fellowship Council Member of SAGES (the Society of American
Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons).
For his outstanding work in the field of surgery, Dr. Sabido has been named Top
Doctor for three consecutive years, 2015 through 2018. In 1999, Wagner College
awarded Dr. Sabido with the Teacher of the Year award during his Physicians
Assistant Program. He has been listed in the Guide To America’s Top Surgeon’s
publication five times in less than a decade. Dr. Sabido received accolades
from the Governor’s Committee on Scholastic Achievement in 1982, and in the
following year was awarded the National Scholar/Athlete Award from the U.S.
Army
Dr. Sabido would like to dedicate this recognition in loving memory of his
mother, Almeda Alice McClellen-Sabido; former director of the Children’s
Community Mental Health Center and founder of Head Start in Staten Island.
