
Storrs, CT - John Haney, MD, is being recognized by
Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Psychiatrist in the Mental Health
field and in acknowledgment of his outstanding work in his private practice.
For 56 years, Dr Hany has been practicing in the field of
mental health, studying and treating mental illness, emotional disturbance, and
abnormal behavior.
Dr. John Haney is a Veteran of the United States, serving in the U.S. Navy on
active duty at the Naval Submarine Base in New London, Connecticut, for two
years and in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1970 to 1995. Since 1970, Dr. Haney
has been assisting patients with difficult mood swings, providing psychiatric
guidance for nurse practitioners, and regularly taking care of patients.
Having attended the prestigious Yale University, Dr. Haney graduated with his
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1964, and his Medical Degree in 1959.
Later, he completed an Internship at the University of Colorado in 1965 and a
residency in Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine in 1968. To
this day, he is an invited Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
