JOHN W. KALB - CHIEF UNDERWRITING OFFICER

John W. Kalb is recognized by Continental Who’s Who for his outstanding customer relations as Chief Underwriting Officer with CHSI.  From 2004 CHSI expanded to California where currently there are 3 self insurance programs, one of the largest in the state.  John, also established in Nevada creates and facilitates self insured workers compensation programs with his expertise focusing on pricing, program operations, and regulatory compliance.  John W. Kalb presents an impressive career history, as General Manager- UniCare Insurance, Vice President of Information Services- Western Employers Insurance Company and Superintendent of Quality Assurance for USF&G Insurance Company, all proving his dedication in the industry.

Continental Who’s Who commends John for his accomplishments and affiliations; he has a BS in Accounting Arizona University, attended on the GI Bill after service in the US Navy, and is a member of the Veterans Club.  John’s philosophy is such, “positive thinking creates positive results”, he is considered an “outside the box thinker” and reveals a knack for creating solutions to difficult problems.

In addition to John W. Kalb’s insurance career he has managed to operate a theatre company with his wife.  Performing 5 full productions, promoting, producing and/or performs 12-15 concerts annually.  He is a member of numerous committees for the Oceanside Surf Museum Film Festival, and actively supports many other civic events.  John’s theatre company resides at the city owned Sunshine Brooks Theatre and he takes pleasure in offering the facility available for many other events.
