Amassing seventeen years of experience in outplacement and coaching, Karen was originally trained as a Life Coach through The Coaches Training Institute and certified as a Neurolinquistic Program Practitioner (NLP) through the NLP Institute of Chicago. Karen was trained and certified through Challenger, Gray & Christmas where her expertise lies within career and executive coaching, and management training.
“When I work with clients, it is more than just helping them survive job loss, sometimes they are going through other life experiences, such as divorce, serious health issues, single parenting, dealing with elderly parents, or transitioning into a new segment of their life,” Ms. Arp said about the complexity of her role. A true Renaissance woman and a graduate pf the “School of Life”, Karen has survived these same types of life’s experiences which she feels has made her a better coach.
The recipient of the CEO Award through her company, Karen is also a member of the Femfessionals Chicago, a professional women’s business group, and as a breast cancer survivor, she volunteers as a “Mentor Angel” with Immelmann’s Angels, an organization that partners anyone seeking cancer support with someone who is a cancer survivor or a caregiver. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exercise, quality family time and also finding new adventures in life through meeting new people, traveling, and seeking new life experiences that she hasn’t had before.
