KARIN L. CIANCE - NURSE MANAGER OF AMBULATORY SERVICE

Karin L. Ciance R.N., M.S.N. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Health Care Professionals. Karen is an Adjunct Nursing Professor at Anna Maria College.

Karin has a vast expertise in the field of Nursing. She is proficient in Urgent Care, Staff Training and Development, Community Health, as well as Falls Prevention.

In the past, Karin worked as the Director of Clinical Services at Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. While working as a graduate nursing student for the Auburn District Nursing Association she was instrumental in developing and implementing the Association’s Fall Prevention Program aimed at preventing older adults from falling in their homes.

In addition, Karin enjoys sharing her knowledge of the Nursing Profession with others.  She is a passionate advocate of the nursing profession and has spoken with more than 300 students in the Worcester Public School System. During her public speaking endeavors, Karin educates students about the field of Nursing. Karin has also shared her expertise and knowledge as a mentor and supervisor to 2 senior Worcester State College nursing students and 14 junior nursing students at Family Health Center during the 2003 spring semester.

Karin is a part of the first graduating class of Worcester State College’s Masters in Community Health Nursing program. She also received her BSN from Worcester State.

She is affiliated with Sigma Theta Tau, NAFE, International Nursing Society, and National League of Nursing.

In the future, Karin hopes to make an impact on the lives of many more patients, and to continue to be a knowledgeable source and mentor in the field of Nursing. She also hopes to secure a full time nursing faculty position.
