therapy services that address the body, mind, and spirit. A compassionate and
client-centered clinic, Miura Integrative Health Clinic boasts decades of
clinical experience which enables them to offer their patients individualized
treatment plans in accordance with the clinic’s integrative and holistic
ideals.
Dr. Miura began his extensive education at the University of Maryland, College
Park in 1990 where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He then went
on to earn a second Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University Hawaii
in 1992. Dr. Miura remained at the University of Hawaii for his Master of
Public Health which he completed in 1995.
Developing a passion for Oriental Medicine, Dr. Miura attended
the Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkley,
California in 2007, earning his M.S.O.M. He completed further training in
Oriental Medicine in 2014 by earning his Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine-Neuromuscular Medicine at Five Branches University in San Jose,
California. Dr. Miura is a licensed acupuncturist in both Hawaii and California
and has over 20 years of experience in his field.
Well revered in the field of Holistic Medicine, Dr. Miura has earned a multitude
of accolades for his work as a holistic healthcare provider. Dr. Miura, most
notably, was awarded the Open Care Patient Award in 2015 and the Best of City
of Berkley-Doctor Complementary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Miura was named Top
Doctor Integrative Medicine, Acupuncture and Herbal Specialist in 2019, and his
health clinic, the Miura Integrative Health Clinic, is consistently referred to
as the patient preferred integrative medical practice in the Berkley area.
Dr. Miura dedicates this recognition to his mentor, John Chen, Pharm. D, Ph.D.
and Father Patrick Freitas.
