Margaret has spent 15 years in the field of Healthcare Administration, amassing the skills and knowledge needed to be a successful Administrator. Throughout her career, Margaret worked directly in the areas of Public Administration; Managing Projects; Interacting with Physicians; Monitoring Policy and Compliance Standards; Participating in Grant Applications and Renewals; as well as Projects and Emergency Management.
Working her way into the Administration sector, Margaret began her career at Staten Island University Hospital, where she served as a case manager from 1995 through 1997. She was promoted to a position as Administrative Assistant to the Emergency Department Director at the same Hospital. In 2001, her accomplishments prompted the Management Team to promote her once again to Administrative Associate at the Hospital. As a result of her dedication and years of service, Margaret was honored with the 15 Year Employment Pin and Certificate of Appreciation Award from Staten Island University Hospital.
Since her retirement, Margaret regularly volunteers with Teach Reading to Youth, Incorporated; Staten Island University Auxiliary; Project Hospitality; and Big Brother and Big Sister of America, NY.
Margaret earned her Master of Public Administration, with a concentration in Health Care Management from Long Island University, and also holds a Bachelor's Degree from St. John's University. As well as being a Certified Medical Transcriber.
