Oak Park, IL/ Continental Who’s Who/- Margot McMahon is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Art. Margot is a Sculptor, Environmentalist and Conservationist with Sculpture Works LLC.
A seasoned artist possessing over three decades of experience, Margot’s outlook of the human form as one with nature is one of her most unique traits.
Specializing in art education and history, curating, exhibit design and fine art, Margot creates sculptures of human, plant and animal forms utilizing the finest steel, bronze, wood and concrete. An environmentalist and conservationist, Margot’s work is known for its humanistic interpretations and as a testament to her expertise, she was previously noted as the Genetic expert for the Worldbook Encyclopedia.
The recipient of the Alex B. Hexter award from the National Sculpture Society and Best Teacher award from the Yale Summer School of Art, Margot’s work is currently being featured in sixteen exhibits this year alone. Moreover, Margot is a Board Member on the Oak Park Area Arts Council and is a Founding Commissioner on the Village of Oak Park Public Art Advisory Commission. Additionally, she is a Committee member for the Ragdale Foundation and is currently in the process of writing a book titled, “The Gifts of Art.”
Reflecting on her education and training, Margot received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hamline University. She then went on to graduate from Yale University with her Master of Fine Arts.
