Fair Oaks, CA- Robert James Spensley, MD is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Medicine in recognition of his roles as a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist at his private practice and as an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry,, Dr. Spensley has had over thirty-five articles published in various medical publications. As to why Dr. Spensley works in the mental health field, he states, “I became enamored with Psychiatry and Psychotherapy during my two month rotation.” For newcomers entering the field, Dr. Spensley advises, “There are two avenues of practice: medical orientation (including testing) and psychotherapy.” With passion and commitment, the key to Dr. Spensley’s success has been his dual career in community mental health and his private psychotherapy practice.
Throughout his education and training, Dr. Spensley graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School to receive his Medical Doctorate. Following that, Dr. Spensley completed his Residency and his Internship at the University of Colorado.
To further his professional development, Dr. Spensley is a professional member of the American Psychiatric Association and the California Medical Association.
