ROHIT K. SHUKLA - FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Los Angeles, CA/ Continental Who’s Who/- Rohit K. Shukla, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Larta Institute, an internationally recognized technology accelerator based in Los Angeles, has been named a Continental Who’s Who Pinnacle Professional in the field of Consulting.

Since its founding in 1993, Larta has conducted commercialization assistance programs throughout the U.S. and in more than 20 countries, and has helped more than 10,000 companies transform ideas into commercialized, socially-beneficial innovations in science and technology, primarily in agriculture and life sciences. Its “network-centric” innovation ecosystem provides entrepreneurs access to a robust national and international network of advisors and resources that helps them develop and expand their businesses.

Shukla is a noted authority in the areas of innovation, commercialization, and enterprise- and technology led economic development, with expertise in business development and planning; start-ups; innovation and commercialization; leadership; management consulting; strategic planning; and partnerships.

He serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the L.A. County Bioscience Coalition.

A seasoned entrepreneur, Shukla has created commercialization assistance programs for a number of U.S. federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Agriculture. He also has developed regional commercialization initiatives and offered technological policy advice to several foreign governments, including those of Australia, Israel, Malaysia and New Zealand.

Earlier in his career, Shukla formed and helped draft legislation that established the California Technology Investment Partnership, an innovation and entrepreneurship initiative supporting the state’s “new economy.” He created and managed the first “defense adjustment” program based on policy advice he provided the Clinton Administration in the early 1990s.

He has taught entrepreneurship to managers and start-up companies, and developed and taught the first graduate course on startup management at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management in Malibu, California.

Shukla earned Master’s degrees in Social and Political Sciences from Cambridge University in England and communication arts and sciences from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mumbai in India.
