New Orleans, LA- Dr. Rondine D. Gardiner-Boudreaux, DNP, MSN
is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who for her outstanding contributions
to the field of Nursing as Transitional Care Program Manager for Southeast
Louisiana Veterans Health Care Systems.
Boasting
over 25 years of experience as a registered nurse, Dr. Gardiner-Boudreaux is an
expert in her field, specializing in the treatment of ICU burns. She began her
nursing career as an LPN in 1996 at the West Jefferson Medical Center where she
assisted patients in the ICU, SICU,
CCU, and trauma units. Revered for her gentle nature and commitment to her
patients, Dr. Gardiner-Boudreaux considers her key to success to be her
military training, serving 26 years in the United States Army rendering her
regimented and heightening her problem solving skills. She “thought to be a pediatric nurse, but
transitioned to the ICU Burn Unit because it was less emotional helping
adults”. As for advice for those who
plan on entering this field, Dr. Gardiner-Boudreaux emails, “Be sure to have
compassionate people you’re taking care of (and have the emotional intelligence
for it)”. She is an esteemed member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor
Society of Nursing, the Louisiana State Nurses Association, the American
Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Baton Rouge District Nurses
Association, and the American Nurses Association.
Beginning her career as a student, Dr. Gardiner-Boudreaux earned her Associate
of Science degree in critical care nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College
School of Nursing in 2000. She subsequently earned her Bachelor of Science in
Nursing degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 2003 followed by her
Master of Science in Nursing degree with a focus in Healthcare Administration
from the same university in 2011. She also earned her Doctor of Nursing
Practice degree with a focus in Health Systems Leadership from Chamberlain
University in 2018.
She has received several honors and awards including the National Defense
Service Medal in 1994, the Army Good Conduct Medal in 1997, the Army Reserves
Component Achievement Medal in 2000, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
in 2005 and 2006, the Army Achievement Medal in 2004 2005 2009 and 2012, the
