
As the largest school district in the nation, the New York City Department of
Education serves over million students in over 1,800 schools throughout the
greater New York City area. Comprised of a rich education program to prepare
students for a bright future, the NYC DOE teaches children early on how to be
curious, enthusiastic and self-motivated learners as a foundation for both
future academic and prosperous lives.
A seasoned educator with over fourteen years of experience, Rosanna is a
passionate second grade teacher specializing in curriculum development and
elementary education. In this capacity, she is responsible for teaching a
variety of subjects; however she has a focus on the arts.
To keep up with the latest advancements in education, Rosanna maintains close
ties with the National Education Association, United Federation of Teachers,
International Reading Association and the National Council of Teachers of
Mathematics. Recognized by Who’s Who Among High School Students in her younger
years, Rosanna enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering her time
with student projects at the Atria Senior Living Center through PS 303.
Rosanna received her Master of Science in K-6 Special Education from Touro
College in addition to her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with
additional studies in Drama, Theatre and Dance from CUNY Queens College, the
City University of New York. Rosanna also holds a certificate in Administration
and District Leadership from the College of St. Rose.
