SANJAY KAMBOJ, MD, FACP - INTERNAL MEDICINE, ALLERGY, AND IMMUNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Metairie, LA - Sanjay Kamboj, MD, FACP, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Doctor for his excellent work in the Medical field and in recognition of his work at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.                

Sanjay Kamboj, MD, FACP, is known for his years of teaching at LSU, as well as his long-standing work in clinical practice. Dr. Kamboj began his college education at LLRM Medical College in Meerut, India, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. He then studied at Louisiana State University, Health Sciences Center in the United States, where he earned his Medical degree in 1994. At LSU, he completed an internship, an internal medicine residency, and a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology. During his schooling, he published multiple articles with other doctors, with topics on Anterior Mediastinal Mass and Respiratory Failure, Recurrent Pneumonia, Generalized Rashes, and more, from 1999 to 2005. As a result of his years of studying, he is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy, and Immunology.

From 2003 to 2006, Dr. Kamboj worked as a Faculty member at the Allergy and Immunology branch of LSU School of Medicine, where he provided his expertise to the next generation of health professionals. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Dr. Kamboj worked in private practice in Union, NJ, in order to provide direct care to victims in a time of crisis. In 2007, he returned to teaching at LSU, where he continued to teach residents, Fellows, and medical students. Today, Dr. Kamboj teaches and works in a clinical capacity at LSU, and sees patients for Allergy and Immunology and Internal Medicine issues each day. He teaches at the LSC Healthcare Networks Clinics in New Orleans, LA, and at the Kenner branch, in Kenner, LA. He has been practicing medicine for over 27 years, with 14 years spent at LSU School of Medicine.

When meeting with patients, Dr. Kamboj takes time to listen to each concern and create a plan for treatment. Patients often seek him out for allergy treatment, allergy management, asthma, immunologic disorders, and common and complex allergy issues. He sees patients of all ages, and has treated both common and very rare cases throughout his 27 years in the medical field.

Founded in 1860, LSU is a historic school in Louisiana. LSU offers an extensive medical program with dozens of specialties for students to choose from. As one of the faculty members in the Pulmonary/Critical Care & Allergy/Immunology section of the program, Dr. Kamboj is proud to provide hands-on learning to his students.

He maintains associations with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. 

On a personal note, Dr. Kamboj is an Executive Board Member for San Clement of Rome School. He has worked with students experiencing homelessness at LSU at their clinic. Dr. Kamboj is a proponent of public health, and has done multiple TV interviews.

Dr. Kamboj would like to dedicate this honorable recognition In Loving Memory of his father, Sher Singh Kamboj.
