Hoboken, NJ- Dr. Sara Rubenstein is being recognized by
Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished
Health Care Provider for her work as a pediatric neurologist.
Dr. Rubenstein received her BS in brain and
cognitive science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed
her medical degree from Technion Israel Institute of Technology in 2016. She
relocated to the United States, performing her residency in pediatrics and her
fellowship in pediatric neurology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2016
and 2021 respectively. She attained board certification in neurology and child
neurology through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN).
Dr. Rubenstein practices as a general pediatric neurologist, seeing children
for a variety of issues such as, seizures, developmental delays, headaches,
genetic syndromes, and autism and spectrum disorders. She works closely with
the patient’s families and other physicians to coordinate the best care.
According to the doctor, the ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to
serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. Dr. Rubenstein is a member
of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of
Neurology and the Child Neurology Society and is keenly interested in current
neurological research.
According to Dr. Rubenstein, neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with
disorders of the nervous system. A child neurologist or pediatric neurologist
is a doctor who treats children who have problems with their nervous system.
Problems in the nervous system can start in the brain spine nerves or muscles.
These can lead to problems such as seizures headaches or developmental delays.
Dr. Rubenstein is currently affiliated with Hackensack University Medical
Center in New Jersey and is dedicated to patient and family-centered care and
believes in the importance of a team-approach to treatment. Dr. Rubenstein’s
passion is to provide high quality care to children and families while building
long-term relationships. “Neurological conditions in children are often complex
and require a multidisciplinary approach. Our entire team is dedicated to our
patients and their families, their treatment, and supporting them throughout
their journey” expressed the doctor.
The doctor has published in Stroke and Vascular Neurology for her COVID-related
study of stroke in children. In her spare time, the doctor participates and
volunteers for community service activities through the MIT Alumni Association.
