Dr. Stephen L. Chan has 37 years’ experience in the field of dentistry and has
31 years’ experience in his current position at Smile Haven Dental Center as a
UCLA postgraduate. Wearing many hats as the main dentist, the manager, the
bookkeeper, and supplies manager his areas
of expertise are in all major aspects of dentistry such as general and cosmetic
dentistry. He maintains affiliations with numerous associations like the
Holistic Dental Association, the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and
Medicine, in addition to the International Academy of Oral Medicine and
Toxicology, The Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, the Holistic Dentist
Association, the American Academy for Oral Systematic Health, and The
Biocompatible Dentist Association.
Dr. Chan was initially inspired by his father; also a dentist and observing him
for many years inspired him to be just as good or better. His hope for his
future in dentistry is to teach holistic dentistry and health, and for his
patients to know him as someone who wants to promote natural dentistry. This
being one of the biggest reason chronic illnesses is so rampant. A published
author, he has shared his knowledge from his experience in dentistry with
“Musings of a Biocompatible Wholebody Dentist”.
Dr. Chan as mentioned is married with a blended family of four boys, a
daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. They are all in California living as
artists, massage therapist, and a nurse.
