Amassing over twenty years of experience in the field of arts and entertainment, Somji has acted in her current capacity as Director of Partnerships at Sesqui, Incorporated for the past two years. Throughout her career, Somji has attained expertise within the areas of Media Relations, Event Management, and Business and Program Development.

Throughout the course of her education and training, Somji attained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Media Studies from York University. Thereafter, Somji was recruited to attend by the Dean of Leeds University (UK) for Masters in International Event Management.

To further her professional development, Somji is founding member and sits on the Board of Directors as Communications Lead of Media and Communications with Alliance Canada. Additionally, Somji is heavily involved with public speaking with the International Economics Forums.

Charitable to various organizations, Somji is an active volunteer with Aga Khan.

In recognition of her professional accolades, Somji was the recipient of the TIAC Canada 150 Diversity Award in 2017.
