Having attained over thirty illustrious years of experience in the field of law, Thomas A. McDonnell is revered for his remarkable contributions to the industry. Throughout his career, Mr. McDonnell has attained extensive experience in representing clients in the insurance community and business industry. Attributing his success to staying on top of communications with the client, Mr. McDonnell believes that law is a “good fit” for him. When asked his advice to newcomers in the industry, Mr. McDonnell emphasizes the importance of being “prepared, keeping the client informed, and not making too many assumptions.” Staying abreast with legal advances in the industry while learning continuously from experience, Mr. McDonnell maintains an active trial practice in both state and federal courts. His practice at the firm focuses on civil litigation, specifically tort and casualty litigation, insurance coverage and practices, and insurance law.
Throughout the course of his education and training, Mr. McDonnell received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1985 from West Virginia University. Thereafter, Mr. McDonnell would go on to attend Law School at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1988.
To further enhance his professional development, Mr. McDonnell is a distinguished fellow of several prominent organizations including the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
