Before beginning her career, Ms Spivak obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Pace University and a Master of Public Health from Moscow State Medical University. After 25 years in upper-level management within the field of Healthcare Administration, Ms. Spivak decided to launch her own company to provide management and administration to small businesses. Offer of hard-to-find talent and exceptional integrity, knowledge, and expertise to small businesses is her answer to the challenging labor market ecosystem. Her company’s motto is “Your Business is Our Business.”
In 2020, she founded RuKa, Inc. and began serving as the CEO of the New York City-based company. Drawing on extensive professional experience in healthcare, human resources, business management, and administration, Ms. Spivak assists and advises her clients on efficiently and effectively managing their small businesses while lowering expenses. She stresses that growing your income and building your achievements should never result in burnout.
Most recently, Ms. Spivak has launched a new initiative, ABridge2Thrive, which is an incubator and an accelerator dedicated to answering the eminent needs and changes of the employment market and professional ecosystem.
The idea for ABridge2Thrive, she says, was born due to the devastating impact that the COVID-19 pandemic left both on the labor market and professional women. The goal is to empower women by developing and enhancing their business skills and putting them to practical use in today’s business world. But, most importantly, the program teaches these women to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
The Excelsior Program is among the course offered with the ABridge2Thrive initiative, which teaches business management and administration skills needed to run a small business effectively. These include administrative support, bookkeeping, payroll, human resources, project management, and negotiation skills. Another course, called The Luminary Program, is for women with professional management and administrative backgrounds who seek more in-depth knowledge in negotiation, client retention, and project management. Finally, The Rubicon Program provides participants with paths to successfully transition into business administration from other industries and ultimately start their own companies. The programs at Abridge2Thrive are at no cost to all cohorts. Upon completion, all participants are assisted with free legal support and mentorship should they decide to start their own companies.
Achieving financial independence from life’s unpleasant surprises, coupled with the opportunity to gain a work-life balance for working women, is the goal of the Abridge2Thrive initiative and Ms. Spivak’s personal mission.
